Context:
We’re working with a startup that just secured a contract with the NBA to deliver an app that designed to drive engagement among fans during live games.
The app can be thought of roughly as a more intimate, sports-focused version of twitter that also supports live voice chat.
They currently have a cross platform react native app, a small node backend, and two mid-level react native devs. For the MVP they’d like to be able to support 10k concurrent users.
They’re looking for someone who can come in and help them build out support for real-time fan engagement on the backend and provide some high level support to the react native devs they’re working with as well.
You’d be working directly with the CEO and after the first few months your focus would likely shift from delivery to helping them hire a full time CTO.
About You
Roughly in order of importance:
- You have experience building real time systems
- You’re comfortable doing hands on engineering work
- You have experience working in early stage environments
- You have experience supporting mobile developers
- You have 10+ years experience
